What you’ll do on the Mexico City Forest Adventure: ATV, Horseback Riding & Zipline (Optional Transport)

This Mexico City ATV, horseback and zipline tour takes place in the forests of La Marquesa, starting at Valle del Potrero in Estado de México. It is a guided outdoor tour for couples, friends and families with children 6 and older, run by our English- and Spanish-speaking local guides.

What you'll do

  • Meet us in Mexico City if you add round-trip transport, or go straight to Valle del Potrero in La Marquesa.
  • Put on your safety equipment and ride a horse for 30 minutes along forest trails.
  • Drive an ATV, a four-wheel off-road bike, for 30 minutes.
  • Finish on a zipline circuit that adds up to 1 km in total.
  • Take free time to explore or relax in the valley, or add an optional local food experience with regional ingredients.
  • Want more time in the saddle or on the ATV? Extend either ride in 30-minute blocks to leave the busier valley and reach quieter forest trails.

Who it's for

The tour suits travelers in Mexico City who want a day in nature without planning the logistics. You need at least a moderate level of fitness. Children from age 6 can join. The maximum weight is 100 kg (220 lb) for the zipline and 115 kg (253 lb) for horseback riding. It is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health, or for pregnant travelers.

La Marquesa Meeting point Without transport: meet at Valle del Potrero, Estado de México; the tour starts and ends here
If you add round-trip transport from Mexico City, we meet you at one of three central points so we can avoid city-center traffic: Ángel de la Independencia (Reforma), Parque Lincoln (Polanco) or Parque México (Condesa). Hotel and Airbnb pickup is possible, but we ask guests to come to one of these points when they can. The vehicle depends on group size: small groups usually travel in a private car and larger groups in a bigger vehicle. At pickup, confirm your name with the driver and contact us right away if anything seems wrong. Without transport, meet us at Valle del Potrero in La Marquesa, Estado de México, where the tour starts and ends.

Send us your accommodation first. Not every address can be reached by our vehicles. Send your hotel or Airbnb to one of our advisors on WhatsApp and they will confirm whether we pick you up at the door or agree a meeting point nearby.

Your pickup time is not the tour start time. They are very different. We collect you well before activities begin, because the drive and the other pickups on the route take time. Your advisor gives you your exact pickup time when your booking is confirmed — go by that time, not by the departure hour shown on this page.
