Cozumel Snorkeling Tour: Swim with Turtles at El Cielo

This Cozumel snorkeling tour takes you by boat to El Cielo, El Cielito and Colombia Reef, three reefs off the island where you can swim with sea turtles. It is a 4-hour shared tour for families, couples and cruise travelers, led by an English- and Spanish-speaking guide.

What you'll do

• Meet your guide at the Asta Bandera Monumental (the monumental flagpole) on Av. Rafael E. Melgar in Cozumel.
• Get fitted with a mask, snorkel, fins and life vest before you get in the water.
• Snorkel El Cielo, where sea turtles are the main attraction and the water is clear on sunny days.
• Continue to El Cielito and Colombia Reef to see more of Cozumel's marine life.
• Eat fresh fish ceviche with tortilla chips and fruit on board, with 2 waters, 2 soft drinks and 2 beers per guest.
• Return by boat to the same meeting point where the tour began.

Who it's for

The tour is rated suitable for all fitness levels, so first-time snorkelers can join as well as people who have snorkeled before. Children from age 4 can take part, which makes it a good option for families. Cruise passengers and travelers staying on the island meet us directly in Cozumel. Guests staying in Playa del Carmen take the ferry to Cozumel first. Water visibility is highest on sunny days.

Good to know

• Full snorkel gear and a life vest are included for every guest.
• Ferry tickets, GoPro photos and gratuities are not included.
• Bring a swimsuit, a towel and biodegradable sunscreen to protect the reef.
• Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or for pregnant travelers.
• There is no hotel pickup; the tour starts and ends at the flagpole on Av. Rafael E. Melgar.
• Groups, couples and families can book together, up to 15 guests per booking.
• Your guide speaks English and Spanish and is with you on the boat for the whole tour.
