What to Wear for ATV, Rafting and Canyoning in Bali

The easiest way to dress for a Bali adventure is to assume you will get wetter, muddier or sweatier than expected. A clean change of clothes is usually more useful than trying to protect the outfit you start in.

For ATV

  • Lightweight clothes you do not mind getting muddy
  • Closed or secure footwear
  • Sunscreen
  • Complete change of clothes

For the Ubud ATV Jungle Tour, mud and water sections are part of the route.

For rafting and tubing

  • Swimwear under quick-drying clothes
  • Secure footwear that can get wet
  • Dry change of clothes
  • Sunscreen

Compare Ayung River Rafting, Telaga Waja and Ubud River Tubing.

For canyoning

Wear swimwear and bring a change of clothes and towel. Technical equipment is provided according to the selected route. Follow the operator's footwear requirements because wet rock and rappelling demand more secure footing than a beach day.

For Mount Batur dirt bikes

Wear comfortable riding clothes and bring sunscreen and extra clothes. Full safety equipment is provided, but your base layers should still be suitable for several hours of active off-road riding.

One simple packing rule

Bring one small dry bag or hotel tote with a complete change of clothes. It is the least glamorous item on the packing list and one of the most useful.
